Ty Cobb Signed Handwritten Letter Don't Be A Pull Hitter PSA/DNA Beckett BAS

Ty Cobb not only was one of the most feared hitters to ever play in the Majors, but he was one of the first ambassadors of the game. During his playing career Cobb would become a player/coach for the Detroit Tigers from 1921-1926. Following his playing career, Cobb would stay close to the game taking on managerial roles for youth development including the August 10th, 1946 All-American game which saw one of the most powerful managerial combinations to ever take the field in Cobb as the manager of the West High School all-stars and Honus Wagner as the manager for the East High School all-stars. Offered here is a handwritten letter from Cobb to a former player of that game shortly following the contest (September 26th, 1946) regarding his playing time, the politics of that choice and some hitting tips including "Don't be a pull hitter" recommendation. A tremendous handwritten example featuring hitter content along with a rare full autograph variation (Typically signed as "Ty"). Authenticated by PSA/DNA & Beckett/BAS with a full letter of authenticity.
