My Neighbor Totoro Mei Production Cel (Studio Ghibli, 1988)

The adorable Mei bawls while holding the ear of corn she wants to give her mom in this wonderful hand-painted production cel from My Neighbor Totoro, one of the most emblematic films in anime. Numbered A34 in the top right corner, this 13.75" x 9" cel was created to appear at about the 1:08:35 mark of the film, featuring the heart-broken Mei with hand-inked tears after her older sister tells her that her mom's not doing well so they won't be able to see her, measuring 6.75" x 6.75. The cel has a blank paper sheet adhered to its back and shows light fading on the linework. In overall, Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.
