Sorcerer's Storyboards
The Sorcerer's Apprentice Live-Action Original Storyboards by Dino Athanassiou Group of 26 (Walt Disney/Stardust, 2010)
"When I come back, you better be focused." Trying to use a little magic to clean up while Balthazar is away, Dave channels his inner Mickey in this astonishing sequence of 26 original hand-drawn storyboards created by the masterful Dino Athanassiou for 2010's live-action adaptation of The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Each sheet is titled across the top with the scene action described including copyright information and Athanassiou's signature below the image area; sticky notes in Athanassiou's hand attribute proper sequence order to the storyboards numbers in the lower right corner. CoAs are included for each sequential pair of storyboards (13 total), as well as additional sheets of Athanassiou's hand-written notes. Emmy®-nominated animator and storyboard artist Dino Athanassiou crafted these stunning storyboards at Stardust Pictures in London; his expansive career includes contributions to blockbuster films such as Space Jam (1996), Madagascar (2005), and The Hunger Games (2012) to name a few.
